Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a wonderful and busy week at St Michael’s. There has been a positive feel in the air, with happy faces and engaged learning shining through in all aspects of school life.

Our school Facebook page went live last week. If you haven’t already, please do follow us using this link: St Michael’s Facebook Page.
We share lots of lovely updates each day to give you “A day in the life of St Michael’s!”

This week, our collective worship focus was ‘Loving your neighbour as yourself.’ In line with our school value of Love, we reflected on how our world becomes a more peaceful place when everyone is loved and treated equally. Jesus taught us that we should show kindness, compassion and respect to everyone, treating others in the same way we would like to be treated ourselves.

On Wednesday, Reverend Nigel joined us from St Michael’s Church and led a fantastic worship assembly. It is wonderful to see our school continuing to build and strengthen our relationship with the church.

This week also saw the student interviews for our new Student Leadership Team, consisting of a Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy positions. Congratulations to Sarp, our new Head Boy, and Darcey, our new Head Girl, on your well-deserved appointments. Further congratulations to their deputies - Florence, Amrita, Caelen and Freddie! We are so excited to see what these young leaders bring to the table. Parliament, watch out… St Michael’s may well be nurturing future world leaders!

Congratulations to all of our Stars of the Week! Once again, we were able to celebrate the many positive things happening across our school, and it is always a joy to come together on Fridays to share these successes with our whole community.

“Mottlesnatch and the Flicker of Hope” has proved to be a triumph this week, with many children being recognised for their efforts. It is fantastic to see so many pupils engaging with this story outside of school. Those 5 Dojos are very well earned and make a real difference each week to the House Cup competition! The next chapter is attached - happy reading!
